About Us

Background

Smart Green Solutions SL is a newly registered local non-governmental organization (NGO) in Sierra Leone, officially incorporated on May 30^th 2024. Our establishment marks a pivotal step toward addressing critical socio-economic and environmental challenges facing Sierra Leone, a country grappling with the impacts of poverty, climate change, and a lack of access to essential resources such as education and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Our organization is deeply committed to fostering sustainable development, promoting environmental protection, and empowering communities across Sierra Leone. By prioritizing green growth initiatives, we aim to introduce and implement sustainable agricultural practices that improve food security, enhance livelihoods, and increase resilience to climate change. We believe that a balance between environmental stewardship and economic empowerment is key to fostering long-term, positive transformation in Sierra Leone’s communities.

Operating at both local and national levels, Smart Green Solutions SL has established operational bases in strategic locations, including Freetown, Bombali, Falaba, Kambia, Karene, Port Loko, Kono, and Tonkolili. This extensive geographic reach enables us to serve a diverse range of communities, addressing both urban and rural development challenges. Through our initiatives, we work closely with local stakeholders, including farmers, women, youth, and marginalized groups, to create tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of these communities.

Our organization’s work is grounded in addressing some of the most pressing and interconnected challenges facing Sierra Leone today. These include combating the adverse effects of climate change by raising awareness and promoting climate adaptation strategies, tackling poverty through sustainable livelihood programs, and empowering women and youth through educational opportunities and entrepreneurship training. By investing in these key areas, Smart Green Solutions SL aims to create a ripple effect that promotes broader social and economic progress across the country.
